| Sursa Performance Hall | Sursa Hall is the cornerstone of Ball State University's Music Instruction Building. A musical jewel for the entire community, Sursa, blends first-rate acoustical design with musical intimacy. The design of this space intends to foster a close connection between performers and audiences, and its acoustical tuning capabilities allow performers to adjust the hall's sound qualities to suit their individual preferences. | |
| Pruis Hall | The John J Pruis Hall is a multi-use space that is well suited for various functions such as lectures, convocations, conference activities, movies, and student-focused programming. Our annual schedule now features a series of performing arts presentations that benefit from the intimate nature of this performance venue. The Pruis stage also touts one of our community’s largest movie screens. This recently renovated 640-seat auditorium continues its legacy of serving a diverse constituency of special events. | |

| Student Recreation and Wellness Facility | The renovations to the interior of the new Student Wellness and Recreation Facility will include the addition of an indoor recreational track with floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding it. Cost: $40 million Opening date: September 1, 2010 ABOUT THE EXPANSION Addition of two new gymnasiums, bringing the total number to seven gymnasiums in the facility. Fitness space for students will expand to three times the current space. 5,400 square feet of space will be devoted to specialized forms of conditioning such as yoga and martial arts. 3,000 square feet will be devoted to Human Performance Laboratory exercise and research. 20,000 square-foot indoor turf field for soccer, baseball, rugby, and other sports. Rock climbing wall. Game room with table tennis and other table games. Outdoor pursuits area will feature an office space where you can find out about mountain hikes, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, and other organized trips. Equipment will be available to rent.
