Silver medal awarded to University of Windsor Sous Chef at NACUFS

Drew Verdam, the University of Windsor Sous Chef has a lot to smile about! After entering a Chef’s Competition during the National Association of College and University Food Services Conference (NACUFS) that took place at the University of Massachusetts, he won a silver medal.

The competition was based on menu selection, presentation, marketing and nutritional aspect, where he and his team had to make three plated courses for four people and one buffet item for twelve people.
This competition included fifteen teams of four and there were sixty chefs from United States & Canada competing in this National Competition.

Everyone in the Food & Catering Services Department is very proud & happy with his achievement!
